The four players reportedly ready to join Liverpool this summer, including surprise £60m midfielder

With around three months to go until the transfer window flies open, Liverpool’s plan should be well under way.

There’s no secret to what Liverpool need over the summer. Midfielders are the name of the game, with a top quality centre-back thrown in for good measure.

Getting all of that in under budget won’t be easy. But what could help the Reds is having targets who are ready and willing to move to Anfield. With that in mind, here are four players who are reportedly making eyes at Liverpool.

Jude Bellingham
Top of Liverpool’s transfer wish list, and top of our roll-call today. If the Reds sign only one player this summer, then please, let it be Jude.

Liverpool have waited too long and saved too hard for Bellingham not to join. Thankfully, it appears that the 19-year-old is leaning heavily towards a move to Anfield.

It’s claimed that even if the Reds miss out on Europe altogether this season, Bellingham would still want to join. In fact, it would reportedly make him want to join more. Get that man to Merseyside!

Josko Gvardiol
Amid Liverpool’s desperation to upgrade their midfield, the need for a defensive signing has been overlooked a little.

But the truth is that Jurgen Klopp could do with a young signing to bring in the next phase for the backline. The dream incoming in that respect would be RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.

After already outing himself as a Liverpool fan, Gvardiol appears hellbent on playing Premier League football. He’d cost a pretty penny, but if Liverpool come in, surely it’s game over.

Mason Mount
With Liverpool needing two or three new midfielders, Mount has emerged as the joker in the pack. A year ago, two years ago, this would have looked impossible.

Klopp called Mount a £60m player back in 2019, and he looked set to be a one-club man at Chelsea. But things change quickly in football, and the 24-year-old now looks increasingly likely to leave Stamford Bridge.

If he does, Liverpool could be leading the race. And more than that, Mount would reportedly prefer to join up with some of his England teammates at Anfield.

Moises Caciedo
Finally, to another player who has made no secret of an affiliation to Liverpool. Caicedo has been trigger happy with the ‘like’ button on social media, hearting everything from new kit announcements to suggestive posts about joining the Reds.

Although he’s never mentioned Liverpool himself, his very public come-and-get-me-plea in January shows how desperate he is for a big move.

He may not have a preference over Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal, but he’d surely jump at the chance to be managed by Klopp.

So there you have it, four players who could transform Liverpool, who are seemingly open to joining. Get it done, Reds!
