Liverpool started talks with 27-year-old France international

Liverpool have been in touch with Juventus regarding the transfer of Adrien Rabiot, who has several other suitors in this window. The 27-year-old midfielder is free to leave the Bianconeri at a reasonable price after entering the final year of his deal in Italy.

France international garnered plenty of interest in 2019 when his PSG deal was about to expire. However, the French midfielder chose the Old Lady as the preferred destination, and things have been hit and miss in Juventus. The Frenchman has played more than 120 games for the Old Lady over three campaigns but could depart in this window.

The former PSG midfielder’s deal has one year left, and the Bianconeri would like to cash in now instead of lose him on a free next summer. Furthermore, Juventus had already signed Denis Zakaria in winter, enabling them to do away with Rabiot if a reasonable offer comes in.

With tremendous interest from PL, a reasonable offer might arrive in the coming weeks. Chelsea and Man United have shown their admiration for Adrien. At the same time, others might jump in late. The Reds have contacted the Bianconeri to understand the details of a potential transfer.

The Old Lady are keen to let Adrien leave, and Liverpool could look for a bargain deal for Rabiot. Jurgen Klopp wants to bring variety to his central areas. The report claims that the Bianconeri asked for Naby Keita in exchange, but they have now set their sights on Firmino instead.
