Report: Liverpool now happy to keep £10m man at Anfield next season after claims he could leave

Liverpool are willing to keep hold of Neco Williams this summer after being impressed with his displays on-loan at Fulham.

According to the Liverpool Echo, The Reds are now in ‘no rush’ to sell Williams. That’s despite the player reportedly being made available for transfer both last summer and in January.

The Echo claim that Liverpool were ready to listen to starting bids of £10m, but no suitable offers were forthcoming. Having subsequently sent him on-loan, The Reds are ‘happy’ to keep him at the club.

It’s also reported that Williams preference would be to stay at Anfield, too. However, Fulham are claimed to be keen on taking him back to Craven Cottage next season.

Regarding Fulham’s interest, no discussions are reported to have taken place with the newly-promoted club as of yet.

He hasn’t always looked comfortable when making the step-up to the Liverpool first-team. But with more experience under his belt in a winning team, he will now be better equipped.
