La Liga giants want Liverpool man as marquee summer signing

Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly thinking about Mohamed Salah as a summer transfer target after failing to sign Kylian Mbappe.

Los Blancos had initially planned to snap up Paris Saint-Germain and France superstar Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer at the end of the term.

The 23-year-old allegedly reached a verbal agreement with the Galacticos to move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

But, news broke over the weekend that he went back on his decision to sign for the Galacticos and signed a three-year deal with Les Parisiens instead in spite of the former offering a contract that amounted to £300 million.

Following his contract extension, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have reportedly switched their attention to other options in the transfer market, having already lined up their options.

According to The Athletic, they’re plotting a move for Liverpool and Egypt wide attacker Mohamed Salah.

Everton frontman Richarlison is also a player that has been linked as the Brazil international had previously enjoyed a stint under the Italian tactician at the Goodison Park outfit.

It is worth noting that Mohamed has still not penned a contract extension with the Merseysiders with his current deal expiring in June next year.

Mohamed has 31 goals and 16 assists across all competitions for his side this season, inspiring them to FA Cup and EFL Cup titles.
