Liverpool in the hunt for 20-year-old Ecuador international

Liverpool will provide stiff competition to Man United in the battle to add Moises Caicedo. Liverpool have readied a bid to sign the midfielder, with Man United already submitting an offer. Caicedo spent his formative years in his homeland, progressing through the ranks at Indipendiente del Valle before graduating from the club’s academy.

Ecuador international has turned out 12 times thus far for Brighton and has become a mainstay in midfield for the PL club.

And the 20-year-old midfielder’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with several high-profile teams in Europe, including Liverpool and Man United, setting their sights on the footballer.

The German manager has been adamant that the Reds will not sign any more footballers in the summer transfer window, even though Thiago is recovering from another injury.

But with Thiago, Henderson and Milner on the wrong side of 30, Liverpool need to invest in a long-term midfield solution, bringing the Ecuadorian midfielder into the picture
