Liverpool have another'target'in Portugal as£90k per week star set for'new contract'

Liverpool have completed deals for Calvin Ramsay, Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho this summer but rumours of more deals continue.

After completing deals for three players, the remaining weeks of the transfer window could be centred around outgoings for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side have recruited Calvin Ramsay, Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho in recent weeks, while bidding farewell to the likes of Divock Origi, Sadio Mane and Takumi Minamino. Neco Williams looks set to be the latest first-team star to depart as he closes in on a move to Nottingham Forest.

Whether or not Liverpool feel the need to add to their squad for a fourth time between now and September 1, the Reds continue to be linked with various individuals regardless. Below, we have rounded up the latest rumours relating to potential incomings at Anfield.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for the Reds. The Portuguese international has continued to be linked with a Premier League move within the last year, with Everton among the clubs mentioned as a potential destination for the 23-year-old.

Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota is in line for a new contract, according to reports.

Signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers back in 2020, the versatile forward has come on leaps and bounds to establish himself as a key part to Jurgen Klopp's side. Last season saw him deputise for the injured Firmino and step in when Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were away at the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring 21 goals and contributing eight assists over the season.

This has led to the Reds wanting to reward him with a fresh deal and bump his pay up from the £90k a week he is reportedly earning. His current contract expires in 2025.
